Summer is here and you know what that means? It’s time to hit the beach and enjoy the cool blue waters of the country. But for everyone else who’s stuck at work, it also means one thing– bearing the scorching hot rays of the sun. So how best can you deal with the summer heat? By cooling down your meal with a cold dessert.

Here are some of the convenience store coolers you can find in a branch nearest you:

Convenience Store Coolers #1: Slurpee Halo-Halo

Spotted at: 7 Eleven

7 Eleven has been opening so many branches throughout the Philippines over the past few years. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been a fan of their Slurpee products. I recently discovered they had a new flavor for their Slurpee selection when I chanced upon an odd-looking sachet near the cashier. As it turned out, the sachet was toppings for their Slurpee Halo-Halo.

You can purchase the toppings for P20 to add to your choice of Slurpee drink size.

Just saw SLURPEE Halo-Halo yesterday. I was about to buy Slurpee but it has a sign “FOR HALO-HALO ONLY”. I got confused so I bought another drink, instead. It’s when I reached the counter that I saw the sachet for the toppings. XD Will try that one maybe later today.

But I’m really interested with the fourth one – ICE CREAM SANDWICH. Maybe because of the drawings on it. XD

This post is making me crave ice cream.
7 Eleven all the way because of accessibility of where I am now.
We have a 7 Eleven branch below our office.
That ice cream sandwich looks interesting, especially with its sketches.

I’ve always liked FamilyMart’s ice cream! Sadly, I’ve heard that they’re shutting down all their branches in Cebu. Very sad 🙁

Why did I not see Slurpee Halo2x yet?? Lemme try that! and oh, that Ice cream sandwich makes me crave one. Sadly, Family Mart is getting closed now in Cebu. 🙁

Why was 7-Eleven’s Fundae not included in the list? This is basically present in every branch and costs only P15.

Anyway, Family Mart’s Twirl All You Can has been my go-to choice when it comes to affordable soft-serve ice cream. I personally love their matcha flavor. But as far as I can remember, their ice creams are priced at P30, regardless of the flavor. Maybe it depends on the location. I usually get mine at the Ayala Center Cebu branch.

  10. I always love 7/11 and Family Mart. Love that Twirl All You can in Family Mart but sadly they are closed now. And oh, that Ice cream sandwich looks delish.
