Paku by Chef Binux is the Newest Chicken Wing Place in Cebu

Pakû by Chef Binux — I first read the name as, well, “PAK-U”. I was later corrected by my friends by pointing out the diacritical mark on the u. As it turns out, the name of this new restaurant was pronounced as “Pa-ko”, which translates to wing in Bisaya and Hiligaynon. In this instance, it referred to as chicken wings.

And that’s exactly what Pakû by Chef Binux is all about– unlimited chicken wings. The second of its kind in Cebu and definitely something everyone will enjoy.

My friends at work wanted to eat chicken wings one day so we tried to look for near our office. Unfortunately, the restaurant we went to did not have wings available at that time so we had to push back our craving and settle for something else. I then started to look for other chicken wing options near the area and that’s when I found Pakû by Chef Binux, a newly opened place that served unli chicken wings and unli rice. So the next day, we decided to visit.

We decided to call ahead so they could prepare the chicken for us in advance. It was a short 5 minute walk from our office, one that was faced with excitement for something new. When we finally arrived at the restaurant, we were the only people around. The staff then handed us the menu and suggested they should bring out the 8 flavors first so we could pick the ones we wanted more of.

This was the photo they shared on their Facebook page. Pretty enticing, right? Well, we were pretty disappointed too. I was really expecting each chicken wing to be smothered in the sauce they prepared it with. But instead, we were served the typical chicken wing deep fried and tossed with the sauce. They looked nothing like the picture. In fact, they looked the same– if not for the different taste you get when you consume each pako.

Don’t get me wrong– I enjoyed their chicken since it wasn’t dry. Pakû by Chef Binux could easily be on my top 3 favorite chicken wing spots in Cebu, especially since they offer unlimited chicken for a good price and had a number of options to choose from. It’s just that I was really expecting the chicken wings to have more sauce than the ones they came with.

Among the flavors, I particularly enjoyed BBQMango Wasabi, and the Hot and Spicy. I think if there was more sauce on the other flavors, I would have been able to taste them more. I’m still looking forward to eating at Pakû once again since they ran out of Teriyaki flavor the previous night. My guess is that this is the bestseller? Can anyone confirm that?

Overall, Pakû chicken wings offers something new to the table. It’s affordable, unlimited, has a total of 8 flavors to choose from, and the meat on the chicken is not dry. If you’re looking for a new restaurant to enjoy chicken wings in Cebu, this is the place to be!

Oh my! Another all you can eat Wings place. At 199 it always looks like a bargain but that is if you are really hungry. I would check them out some time.

Would it be possible to ask for additional sauce? 🙂 It would be a great option to offer add-ons. Anyway, looks really delish. I love chicken wings so I hope I can dropby this place soon.

I’m a bit curious with Mango Wasabi. Lol. Next time I’d suggest this place to my teammates because we’re frequently having unli-chicken wings at burrows.

Finally, unlimited chicken wings! And they’re all-in rate is way cheaper than that of Burrows! This is definitely going in my list of must-try food places in the metro. Thanks for sharing!

Wow another unlimited chicken wings! At least we have another option aside from burrows. I can’t wait to try this one. Well, maybe after a very long and tiring trek so that sulit na sulit gyud ang bayad. 🙂

  7. I would like to try the BBQ flavors first but I am so intrigued as to how Mango Wasabi tastes like. Will have to try it myself soon. 🙂

I hate chicken wings kay gutomon ko magtan-aw unya wala pa ko namahaw. Hahahaha. Kidding aside, seems like a good place. I’m fascinated by its name not because of Pak-u but it is spelled according to its pronunciation. It’s interesting to capture local nuance of words and how it should be spelled! 😉

  9. You know I often read the name wrong in my head, too…

Anyway, I’ve yet to visit this place! Love that industrial(?), unfinished look. Is that the store front?

Oh boy! Another wing place! I am already in love with Burrow and this new place maybe can’t compete with them right now. Burrow already has drumsticks in the mix AND still manages to keep the P199 price tag!

Maybe my opinion on the taste will change that. Until then, #BurrowPaRin!

  11. Chicken wings are love. Chicken wings are life. When you’re reading this at midnight, sakit lang jud kaayo sa buot. Huhuhuhahahahaha.

The place looks pretty good! I would totally be down to visit it if I happen to be around the area because wings are pretty much my favorite food, specially hot ones!
